"Lia did my hair and makeup for my wedding in Aug. First if all, she did a great job when I changed my mind about the hair design in the last minute. She was able to realize what I just had an idea of. She also did the makeup perfectly. I want Asian style makeup for my single eye-lid. She was very thoughtful to practice with double eye-lid tape before the wedding date. Another great thing about Lia is that she is very easy to get along with and is always patient. I was anxious when finding my skin condition to be bad after getting up early in the morning. But Lia calmed me down and turned the whole morning into a pleasant time. "USE LIA FOR YOUR WEDDING HAIR AND MAKEUP!! Lia showed up right on time to our hotel room for our SF City Hall wedding. As soon as you meet Lia you get a great, relaxed vibe mixed with total professionalism. She broke out her extensive collection of brushes and makeup and brough me a feeling of, "oh this chick knows her stuff"...and boy was I right! What I loved most about her was she is open to adjustments as you like throughout the process. You feel like she is collaborating with you to get the exact look that YOU want. I have not had good luck in the past with updo's and was a bit concerned that this time would be the same. Boy, was I wrong. I look at my wedding pictures and think, "wow, Lia did such an amazing job!!". She even used hairpieces that I brought with to make my low bun more full (highly recommended and she was super excited to work with them - my local hair dresser said this was a good sign and was she right!). As the super early morning progressed, I felt like I was with an old friend. Then I looked in the mirror and began to cry at how beautiful Lia made me look. The make-up was impeccable and my hair was perfect!! Given that we eloped without family or friends, I needed a bit of help into my dress and she was right there to help like a great friend. Lia also took pictures for us of the first time my groom saw me in the hotel and I cannot tell you how much that meant to me!!! Yes, she did and INCREDIBLE job on my wedding hair and makeup but she also brought me peace and calmness on a day that could easily have been chotic. I feel very grateful that such an incredibly talented, sweet person was a part of the best day of my life!!!!"

"I couldn't be happier with my experience with Lia!! My husband and I are from the Midwest and had a small destination wedding in Napa, CA. I found Lia online and I'm SO glad I did! She came to our hotel early the morning after we flew into San Francisco to do my hair and makeup trial. She asked me how I envisioned myself looking on my wedding day, and the whole time she was working she explained what she was doing and asked me about what I liked for color choices, etc. On our wedding day, she came to the bed and breakfast where we were holding our ceremony and did my hair and makeup there. "I really cannot express how lucky I was to have found Lia---she is such a gem! I found her through yelp about a month before my wedding after my previous hair and make-up trial did not end up working out. At that point in the wedding planning process, I was desperate and willing to book anyone who was open on my wedding day. But then came Lia--such an unexpected surprise. She was attentive, patient, understood what I wanted, professional and so sweet! Even though my bridesmaids and my mom did not do a trial with her, she still did a fabulous job on their hair and make-up on the day of the wedding. She got everyone done on time and even managed to do my niece's hair (who wasn't on her schedule). In addition, the day before the wedding, I had some redness and irritation on my face from a facial/waxing, plus all the stress and lack of sleep didn't help much either...but she made it all go away. After she was done with me, I looked awake and ready to go! My wedding ceremony was a total tearjerker and my make-up held up so well throughout the day. You can't tell from the pictures that we had all been crying during the ceremony. I warned Lia that our rehearsal was super windy and she made sure that we all still got the hairstyles that we wanted, but ones that would be able to withstand all that wind. In the end, we all looked natural, yet beautiful... Thank You Lia, you transformed a bunch of stressed out, sleepless ladies into beauties!"

"This lady beat out four other makeup trials (I am super picky) to do a FABULOUS job on my hair and makeup for both a western City Hall legal ceremony and an Indian-American wedding. She is sweet, punctual, and kind. She loves animals. Oh, and she is SUPER TALENTED!!! She listens to what you want and makes you look like a fabulous, natural version of you. She can do natural. She can do glam. She can do trendy. Her makeup and hair looks good in photos and in person -- what more could you ask for, seriously? You need to check this artist out. Oh, and all my aunties and mom loved her, and she was calm under pressure when my dad was freaking out the morning of the wedding and trying to rush her. She did my bridesmaid's hair in literally five seconds because my bridesmaid was in a hurry. My mother actually came up to me on my wedding day to compliment Lia's professionalism that morning! The frosting on the cake was that she didn't blink an eye when I asked her to help me with my jewelry for the Indian ceremony. Bless you, Lia, may everything good in life come to you."

"Wanted: hair and makeup guru for my wedding. My 2 primary concerns: 1) make me look and feel like a better version of me, and 2) more importantly, be a calming and soothing presence for my mother/sister and my hubby's mother/sister, as this was a treat for them as well. Lia far-exceeded expectations! I found Lia on weddingwire.com and booked her for a trial in December 2010 for my June 24th, 2011 wedding in Sonoma, CA. I immediately felt at ease with her warm personality and my sister got along with her as well. My only reservation at the time was whether she would be able to accomodate 3 hair preparations and 5 makeup applications for my wedding by herself. I selected her over two different hair/makeup stylists because I felt she would be able to manage my mother/mother in law well -- the morning of a wedding can be hectic! In the months leading up to the wedding I corresponded with Lia via email (I live in London) and mentioned what I liked from the trial and what I wanted to try differently. Lia was open to suggestions and made assurances that she would work with me. On the wedding day itself, she was punctual, kept to her schedule, and above all never made us feel rushed or stressed. My family had a pretty relaxed morning preparing for the wedding and Lia fit right in. It was a hot day in Sonoma and my makeup totally won. In fact, I never worried about it or thought to touch up much. My hair and face felt light and looking back at my friends' photos you cannot see any signs of wear and tear! My only constructive feedback is that she sometimes took more than a few days to respond to emails, but it is a small point. My friends gave the best compliment to Lia when they saw photos and said, quite simply,"Big props to your hair and makeup artist!" Thank you so much, Lia!"
